To Start Things Off

I decided tonight would be the perfect night to start my blog. I have wanted to find somewhere to vent my frustrations, share my joys and give my overflow of advice. So here it is the night before I see my husband for the first time in 7 months and I’m using this as a starting point for this creation.

I am Gwen, a wife to Ben, mommy to Colby and Benji and furbaby, Jenna. We’ve been married seven years, Colby is 4, Benji is 19 months and Jenna is 14 months.

Ben has been in the Army for 8 years and comes and goes as often as the weather changes here in Colorado. We’ve been here three years and are already working on a plan to escape…not the Army life in general, just the deployments that have happened EVERY year we have been here…that means for the last three years, he’s been gone at least 6 months to the great sandbox…

Tonight I have flutters and butterflys in my stomach because I’m waiting until early tomorrow morning to go and pick him up and bring him back into real life. Part of me is scared, part excited and the rest just tired.

So I will try to keep up with this and let my friends and family know what is happening in the crazy fun life of Gwen, Ben, Colby, Benji and Jenna.
